Days 65-67
I have a little catching up to do as I have missed 2 days.  So I am still frustrated by the weakness and pain with hip ABD and going upstairs step over step without a cane.  However the new positive is that with a cane I am able to walk at a brisker pace without much gait deviation. I am trying to walk on a variety of surfaces including in woods to increase strength and coordination and this appears to be helping as my leg feels stronger today , which is a new sensation for me.
I still have buttock and lateral greater trochanter pain but that is expected.  You are always left wondering is that normal, is that the way it is supposed to be or is that indicating something is wrong.
I will continue to walk and work on gait and steps and in a few days revisit sidelying hip ABD.  The last time was not real successful but everything in its own time. I found my maximum driving time is about 2 hrs and standing between 1-2 hrs
I still have difficulty putting on my right sock or squatting ( about 30% ).  Only 1/2 pain pill over the last week so I am happy happy happy about that
